For this month’s box of beer, I opened up for suggestions on what people would like to see reviewed. This gem was one of those suggested and I am so glad I tried it.
Nanda is Nirvana’s answer to Kombucha, blending malted barley with a Kombucha base, they call this fantastic blend “Buchabeer” which I can see taking off in a big way.
I’ve tried Kombucha in last months box and was not a fan of it. In fact, I ended up sadly pouring it away as it was just too sharp for me. This beer (is beer appropriate?) however, manages to tackle that “issue” in a unique way by using malted barley in the mix and produces something truly delicious.
Pouring is easy as there is very little fizz in this mix. Just enough to not make it feel like you’re drinking a glass of flat water which helps add to the flavour.
The flavour (along with its aroma) is difficult to describe. It is very much like a Kombucha only sweeter and fruity.
I would highly recommend this beer along with the others available from the Nirvana Brewery which is located in London, England as they have a fantastic range of non-alcoholic beers available.
