Drop Bear Beer are a new startup founded in Wales by two young entrepreneurs fresh out of university. Having recently won awards for their beers and business, let’s dig into their Yuzu pale ale to see what it’s like.
Popping the cap off and tipping over a glass rewards you with a delightful stream of amber coloured ale; aching to that of nectar which brings me nicely round to the aroma of this beer, with a sweet, syrupy fragrance reminding me of my childhood when my Nana would make golden syrup cake.
With a medium fizz, the mouth feel is delightful as the bubbles help to aerate the pallet, opening those taste buds up. With that, you are rewarded with what is probably the best flavour for a non alcoholic beer I have ever had so far.
Packed full of flavour true to their branding, this beer brings a sweet hoppy flavour which is well balanced.
I feel privileged to have been sponsored by Drop Bear Beer during my September Cycle 300 challenge I completed for Cancer Research UK and cannot wait to see what this dynamic duo produce for the non alcoholic world next.
